About Jurgen Wolff and Brainstorm ABOUT JURGEN WOLFF
Jurgen Wolff is a writer, teacher, and hypnotherapist. He is the author or co-author of five books, and the editor/publisher of BRAINSTORM, the creativity newsletter. In America, he was a Research Scientist for the American Institutes for Research, and a Senior Consultant to Learning Achievement Corporation. He was also the editor of the "Career Education Audio Digest." He has taught at the University of Southern California, been a Guest Lecturer at Le Conservatoire Europeen D'Ecriture Audiovisuelle, Paris, a Tutor at the London School of Journalism, and Tutor for the EC MEDIA "Pilots" Project in 1993 and 1995, and Guest Specialist in 1994, 1997, 1998, and 1999. He is a member of the American Board of Hypnotherapy and now teaches private workshops in Creating Your Future, Beyond Brainstorming, The Healing Power of the Mind, and Dealing with Stress. He has taught creativity-related workshops in Los Angeles; London; Hawaii; St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Belgium; Denmark; Germany; Spain; France; and South Africa. In the U.K. he regularly teaches creativity workshops for the Academy of Chief Executives. As well as teaching creativity techniques, he employs them as a writer. His first feature film, The Real Howard Spitz, (which also marked his acting debut) was released in 1998. He has written various sitcoms, including episodes of Benson and Family Ties, TV movies for American and British television, and stage plays that have been produced in London, New York, Berlin, and Los Angeles. He has been a consultant to the BBC Children's Programmes Department, and to Columbia Tri-Star Television. He co-created the successful German sitcom, Lukas, and created the animated series, Norman Normal, currently playing in Germany and France. His three animated films for Walt Disney Productions won the Gold Medal for Children's Films at the Houston Film Festival, and the Red Ribbon Award at the American Film Festival. For two years, he had his own radio show on KZSU, San Francisco. Books he has written or co-written include Successful Scriptwriting, Successful Sitcom Writing, and Top Secrets: Screenwriting. He has degrees from Stanford University, California State University at San Francisco, and was an English Speaking Union Scholar at Jesus College, Oxford. He is a certified NLP Practitioner, Time Line Therapy Practitioner, and hypnotherapist. For the past twelve years he has made his home in London.
